Orson Archibald vs The Haunted House Committee - Review - Day 32

October 1st and the first story is here! Before we go any further, if you haven't read it yet, head on over to Jack Wallen's site and read the story. You can find it at:

This first story is by Dillon Brown. I have never read any of their work, but that is kind of the point, to discover new authors and see what other content is out there.

To be clear, there will be no spoilers here. This one is fun, if a little gory. It is a nice way to open up the series. I really enjoyed the depiction of the main character and the introduction of the haunted house committee. Anyone that has been forced to pay by the rules will recognize Orson Archibald's frustration. His pursuit to be the best in the face of adversity is quite interesting. The twist at the end, is fun. Overall it felt like a nice little horror short film. Well done!

The author Dillon Brown, has an author's page at Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/~/e/B08HL6N89Z.

It looks like he has a few other books in the "scary" field. If you like what you see here, you should probably pick them up. He looks to be a solid author and I am sure you will enjoy yourself. Or scare yourself silly.

I also checked out his Youtube

 channel, https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChu7DBojU0imy1J6HF2qnLw

It is titled Horror Nerd productions. I haven't watched anything yet, but I think we get the picture. If you are a fan of horror, head on over and see what you think.

Overall, a great way to start off the month. The posts go up at 8:00 Eastern on Jack's site. Can't wait to see what is next!
